The foreign exchange market, abbreviated Forex or FX, also called currency market, is a global decentralized or over-the-counter market which is used for the trading of currencies.

This market shows foreign exchange rates for every currency or in other word, for every currency pairs.

It includes all aspects of buying, selling and exchanging currencies at current prices.

In terms of trading volume, it is by far the largest market in the world, followed by the credit market.

Traders enter buy or sell positions by using the change in currency pairs rate in appropriate situations and make profit from the change in the rate of one currency compared to another currency.

Although forex trading is actually done on various currency pairs such as GBP vs USD, Australian Dollar vs New Zealand dollar and USD vs Canadian dollar, we also trade on crypto currencies such as BTC or Bitcoin vs USD, Ethereum vs USD and XRP or Ripple vs USD.

In addition to currency pairs and cryptocurrencies, various commodities such as metals are also traded in forex, such as XAU vs USD and Silver vs USD.
